Mike Kovala

Mike is an accomplished and results-driven executive with over 20 years of experience in healthcare. His passion lies in implementing innovative solutions that not only meet business objectives but also improve patient outcomes and enhance end-user satisfaction. Mike’s expertise spans several key areas within healthcare IT, including client success, business development, solution architecture, integration, implementation, and health informatics and information management. He is dedicated to driving growth and innovation by designing tailored and impactful solutions in collaboration with client partners.

Mike began his career in Health Information Management (HIM) and went on to earn a B.A. in HIM and an M.S. in IT Leadership from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota. He is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Informatics (CPHI) through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Mike spent 15 years at Sisu Solutions, working with healthcare facilities to enhance their MEDITECH EHR technology in roles focused on data, analytics and regulatory consulting. His natural progression into leadership, business development, and client-focused roles has shaped his career to this day.

Outside of his professional life, Mike and his wife are proud parents of three children. He spends winters coaching all three in hockey and supporting them in soccer, volleyball, golf, and a variety of other activities. As an avid outdoorsman, Mike enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping. Alongside family and friends, he embarks on epic travel adventures, including heading backcountry in the Mountain West, across the lakes of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, and hiking throughout America’s National Parks and Forests. At home, Mike enjoys creating unique meals inspired by his travels and reading science fiction.
